Theatre De Meervaart is the perfect location to organise a conference. The dynamic theatre scenery will give the conference an inspirational ambiance. And of course, our conference center has excellent accessibility. De Meervaart is close to ring road A10 in Amsterdam, there is a direct connection to Schiphol and two trams from the city centre stop in front of the convention center. This easy accessibility makes De Meervaart a great venue for international conferences.

Conference room Amsterdam

Every year, about 150 business conferences are organized with the help of our welcoming and flexible approach. De Meervaart has multiple - big and small - halls. Our two biggest halls are the Blue hall and the Red hall. These theatres have a big stage with all the necessities for a spectacular presentation. During the presentation we can offer technical support. Our in-house technicians are real specialists, so you can hand over the responsibility for the technology without worries. This way, you can focus on giving an important presentation or lecture. 

Besides our two biggest halls, De Meervaart has 10 professional conference rooms, varying in size from 25 m² to 120 m², with 12 to 120 seats. These conference spaces are perfect for workshops, trainings and brainstorming sessions during the conference. All of our conference spaces are adjacent to each other, which is an advantage if you want to switch rooms during trainings or workshops. 

Our conference center in Amsterdam also has three foyers. Two of them are connected to the Red hall and Blue hall, the other one is connected to our smaller conference rooms. The biggest foyer, connected to the Rode zaal on the ground floor, can be used as reception area but also for serving the buffet at the end of the conference. 

Our 12 conference rooms and 3 foyers can be rent as one conference center, so there are multiple rooms available for presentations, lectures and workshops. 

Convention and exhibition centre

De Meervaart is the perfect location to organize a conference combined with an exhibition. Our biggest foyer - 685 m² and located on the ground floor - offers enough space for multiple stands, so companies and brands can present their products and services.

Our facilities during your conference

Accessibility and parking

De Meervaart is the best accessible theatre in Amsterdam. Guests can reach the conference hall easily by car, public transport and even by boat. Parking is easy in the adjacent, low-cost parking garage. The parking garage provides a parking space for 450 vehicles and costs €8,- a day. In contrast to the parking rates in the city centre, the parking rates of our parking garage have not increased and are still low-cost.

Hotels in the direct vicinity 

We welcome people from all over the world as our guests. That’s why hotels in the direct vicinity are of great importance. De Meervaart would be happy to book a room for your guests at one of the nearby hotels. 

Services

We are happy to help with the organisation of your conference. For example, we would love to make sure your guests have a great start of their day with a delicious breakfast or provide them with a tremendous lunch, dinner or buffet. If you need help with the overall planning and organisation of the conference, we are happy to help as well. We can support you during the process of professionalising the internal organisation. Together, we determine the details and schedule of the conference and give you advice regarding registration, branding, technology, music and lectures. 

A duty-manager is available and responsible for all operational services during the conference, such as communication with the catering service and technicians. Together with the duty-manager, the conference will be organized down to the smallest detail. 

Are there any specific wishes for the conference? At our conference center, we provide conferences customized to your organization’s needs. We have worked out a range of packages, from which you can choose. You can decide which catering facilities you would like to use. It’s possible to finish the day with a delicious dinner; we can serve fingerfood and a walking dinner.
